To understand what drives someone to become a pilot in the Amazon, an activity that is often poorly paid and dangerous, the director returns to the small airport where her uncle flew, 30 years after his death. As the runway seems to crumble beneath their feet, pilots share stories about the precariousness, prejudice and crimes that occur in the skies over the forest.

Born in Belém (PA). For 20 years he has dedicated himself to documentaries in the Amazon and music videos such as Xirley (Gaby Amarantos), among others. She is an internationally awarded music producer for works such as the album Treme, which launched Gaby Amarantos, with two Latin Grammy nominations. PhD student in sociology (Post-colonialisms and Global Citizenship) at the University of Coimbra (Portugal). She is executive producer at Companhia Amazônica de Filmes and coordinator of Escola Livre de Cinema da Amazônia. He is preparing to direct Local de Crime and Valentina, his first two fiction features.
