about the director Éthel Oliveira

Documentary filmmaker, film club founder and editor. She studied Social Sciences at UFF, was a researcher at the Laboratory of Ethnographic Film with Guarani people and developed projects on popular communication and human rights in Olinda. In 2018, she created a film festival called Baobá Mostra de African Cinemas in Recife.

about the director Júlia Mariano

Director, producer and screenwriter. Graduated in Film Direction from the San Antonio de los Baños Film School (Cuba). She was also an invited student at Baden-Württemberg Filmakademie (Germany), where she directed the documentary Gegen den Strom. In 2012, she wrote and produced the feature film A Batalha do Passinho (Best Documentary - Mostra Novos Rumos – Rio de Janeiro Int’l Film Festival).
