The film seeks photographic records of black families in this intimate and poetic visual essay, exploring private stories to criticize the stigmatization and almost absence of portraits of these people. A sensitive visual counter-narrative of what remains invisible.

about the director Safira Moreira

Born in 1991 in the neighborhood of Engenho Velho da Federação (Salvador, BA, Brazil). Works with black people portraits surrounded by politics of memory. She was the director of photography for the short film Eu, Minha Mãe e Wallace (2018), by Eduardo and Marcos Carvalho. Wrote and directed the documentary series Iyas Idanas - Mulheres da Cozinha (2019).
