The film focuses francophone European black women from the diaspora on their common experience related to minority status in predominantly White ex-colonial countries, and bring to light the existence at the crossroad of multiple discriminations that go way beyond our “black women” status. It’s a statement from francophone European black women so as to why they choose to reclaim the narrative.

about the director Amandine Gay

French film director, afrofeminist and researcher. In 2018, she collaborated in writing the book Décolonisons les Arts! (“Let us decolonize Arts!”). She is a member of the 50/50 Collective. She currently lives and works in Canada. According to him, taking possession of the narratives is an act of emancipation.
