The documentary is about the controversial and explosive question of abortion in Brazil. An estimated one million Brazilian women seek illegal abortions every year, most of them conducted in inhuman conditions. Many suffer injuries or lose their lives in clandestine clinics, at the hands of criminals. The film personalizes this situation through the true story of Jandyra Magdalena dos Santos, a case that made national and international headlines, and will lead the viewer through a labyrinth of conflicts.
