THEY HAVE KILLED OUR CHILDREN

susanna lira

2016, 72’
Brazil is the country with the highest murder rates in the world. The vast majority of them, younglings who lose way too soon their chance to fulfil dreams and wishes. The movie builds a poetic narrative about the journey of the Mothers of May. A group leaded by Debora Silva that creates a new place after the tragic loss of their children. They will not come back, but what is within the reach of these mums is the battle for the memory and justice, transforming daily the grief into struggle, suffering into hope, pain into reaction.
