about the speaker
Deborah Osborn born in São Paulo and graduated in Social Communication at ESPM. She started her career working at the Film Department of Museum of the Image and Sound – MIS-SP. After a degree in Cinema at NYU - New York Universitiy, she also received a Masters Degree in Cinema from Goldsmith College - University of London as a Chevening scholar of the British Council. She is a founding member of bigBonsai and responsible for Creative Production entertainment projects of the company. Deborah is a jury and a speaker at several festivals, such as SXSW, Gramado Festival, Curitiba Film Festival, Rio Market (Rio Festival), Cine PE and São Paulo International Short Film Festival. She was also the curator and producer of the film festival and workshop Kevin Macdonald - Um Olhar Plural, in partnership with Festival Cultura Inglesa, which took place in June 2017 at MIS-SP. In the same year, she was the only Brazilian representative selected to participate in the Eave Producers` Workshop, one of the main meetings of the European network of audiovisual entrepreneurs. She also gives the course Documentary for Cinema and TV at Centro Cultural O_Barco in partnership with journalist Flavia Guerra twice a year.
