Helena Ignez is one of the main female personalities in Brazilian cinema. She started a new style of interpretation and currently is an independent director. The documentary describes part of the history of cinema, the political context and the artist’s trajectory.

about the director Sinai Sganzerla

Filmmaker and producer, she has 15 years of experience in cinema working in Mercúrio Produções. Her first production, Luz Nas Trevas (2010), was the only Latin American feature film at the 63rd Locarno Film Festival. Her first film direction, O Desmonte do Monte, was exhibited at the 31st Cinélatino (2019), Rencontres de Toulouse, being the only Brazilian documentary.
