The documentary reviews a significant era of Brazilian cinema through the life of Alice Gonzaga, daughter of Adhemar Gonzaga, a visionary filmmaker who founded the first film studio in Brazil, Cinedia, in 1930. In this documentary, Alice herself reveals Cinedia`s precious archive, and shares stories of the Gonzaga family and their vivid contribution to the story of cinema.

about the director BETSE DE PAULA

Award-winning filmmaker, producer and screenwriter, holds the titles of Commander of the Order of Cultural Merit of the Federal District of Brazil and Honorary Ambassador of Brasília. She is also the founder of Aprocine and was the leader of Abraci and ABD. She taught Screenwriting, Direction and Cinematographic Practices in Cinema of the Estácio de Sá University from 2007 to 2010. She was an assistant director, producer and editor in feature films, such as Sérgio Rezende`s The Man in the Black Cape
