This Picture shows several interviews about the process to adapt to a new language. There are children and adults that lived the migration process, therapists and the staff of the schools that work to make easier the adaptcional process. The interviews were made in Brazil, India and England and shows different aspects of adaptation: lexical, grammar, accent and conceptual problems. In general, they are people who change from rural areas to urban ones. It intends that the problems faced for the immigrants in different countries are similar to the problems faced for the internal migrants of Brazil.

about the director ELISA BRACHER

Born in 1965 and graduated in Fine Arts at Faap. Her work as an artist has always sought the public space, with his immense engravings and sculptures, molded in various materials, some of which are installed in urban centers. In 1997 she invited a group of children to visit her atelier and participate in carpentry classes. From this initiative came the Achaia Institute, which currently receives 350 people. Since then, her interest in communication between the different social groups has grown and resulted, among other works, in the documentary What Language Do You Speak?
